Half centuries from Jonathan Andrews and Omarion Cummings guided West Ruimveldt to a 65-run victory over Saint Pius when the AL Sport and Tour Promotion National Sports Commission 22nd Annual End of School year Edward Cobenna Memorial Primary Schools Windball Cricket Champions Trophy continued recently at the National Gymnasium.
Playing in the boys’ category, West Ruimveldt posted 134-1 following their insertion. Andrews slammed 65 with eight sixes, while Cummings made an even half century including five sixes.Saint Pius were limited to 65-2, in reply. Jomal Williams scored 16 and Jaden Jerio 10.
In other matches, Saint Pius managed 101- 3, batting first; Domal Williams struck eight sixes in a top score of 68, while Dawin Hardy contributed 12 as Jahfarie Collins took two wickets.
Ketley replied with 87-3; Christopher Nurse made (6×6) while Randy Collins made 24; Ganesh Ramjeeran had two wickets.
In the girls segment, Saint Pius batted first and scored 50-1 with Christal Archer scoring 32. Defending Champions Sophia replied with 54-0, Rayanna Harris scored 25.
Ketley made 110 – 1, taking first strike; Tia Flower slammed 66 (9×6). Enterprise made 52-2, in response. Tyra Wilson got 28.
