A fine half century from Dwane Jones guided Goed Fortuin to a 66-run win over Malgre Tout when the Al Sport and Tour Promotions 22nd annual End of School Year Edward Cobenna Memorial Primary Schools Memorial Windball cricket champions trophy continued recently with action in the region three leg at the National Gymnasium.
Playing in the male segment, Jones struck 10 sixes in a top score 64, while Emmanuel Mukatnaught made 30 with three fours and three sixes as Goed Fortuin posted 122-0, batting first. Malgre Tout replied with 56-4; Javon Roberts made 26; Christoff Deochand took two wickets.
In other matches, Wales managed 82-6, batting first. Fameem Ganie claimed 3-28 and Vanenzuela O’Lessnnoro 2-6. Tuschen responded with 87-1 off 3.4 overs. Reon Dowlin slammed 10 sixes in scoring 64 while Jaden Hinds made 18.
Leonora took first strike and scored 97-3; Shahid Bahadur made 36, Sachin Singh 30 and Chandeshwar Singh 13.Tuschen responded with 98-3; Daniel Williams struck 22, R. Dowlin 18, Joshua Mohamed 16 and J. Hinds 12.
In the female segment, Leonora got to 55-2, taking first strike with Alana Williams scoring 24 and Shontell Anderson 16. Emily Daymon had two wickets. Malgre Tout replied with 59-1; E. Daymon made 28 and Sheryann Jacobs 16.
Goed Fortuin took first turn in the middle and posted 58-1; Janiella Jackson scored 32 and Chiyedza Heywood 16. Wales replied with 61-0; Kezia Datson stroked 28 and Angelina Hodge 26.
Leonora were limited to 21-6, batting first. Danna Ramphal got 10. Tuschen responded with 23-0; Jezzel Chichester made 12.
