Ketley upset Sophia while St. Margaret’s defeated Tucville when the Al Sport and Tour Promotions National
Sports Commission 22nd Annual End of School Year “Edward Cobenna Memorial” Primary Schools Windball Champions Trophy continued recently with action in Georgetown zone at the National Gymnasium.
Ketley after been invited to take first strike scored 91-0 with Randy Collins scoring 40 with six fours and Christopher Nurse 31 including three sixes. Sophia in reply were restricted to 72-3; Raul Benjamin made 20 and Troy Agard 16; Jermaine Booker had 3-21.
Saint Margaret’s took first knock and managed 127-1. Nehemiah Singh struck six fours and seven sixes in a top score of 66 while Nathan Parang made 28 and Stephon Sankar 17. Tucville replied with 72-5; John Harry got 18 and Gray Griffith 16.
In other matches, Saint Agnes posted 113-2, batting first. Darius Chester slammed six fours and six sixes in a robust 61 while Trevon Mathias made 23. Enterprise made 113-0, in reply. Khy Atkinson led with 70 which included 11 sixes, while Moses Cordis scored 45 including five fours and four sixes.
PE Pollard made 53-2, taking first strike. Joshua Jackman stroked 26 and Kester Henry 12. Mae’s scored 56-1, in reply; Sachin James struck 42.
Grahams Hall batted first and managed 84-2; TajPaul Mangar scored 35, Trilok Nanan 19 and Jhad Hughes 19. Winfer Garden replied with 85-3, winning the game off the last ball; Tyreese Beete made 29, Shane Prince 16 and Akeem Henry 12.
Before the start of play Deputy Mayor of Georgetown Alfred Mentore had a talk with the players while former West Indies fast bowler Reon King was also in attendance.
