The Georgetown leg of the AL Sport and Tour Promotions 22 Annual End of School Year Primary Schools “Edward Cobenna Memorial” Windball Cricket Champions Trophy Georgetown organised by A. Munroe continued recently at the National Gymnasium.
In the boys’ category, defending champions North Georgetown got off to a winning start as they defeated Sophia by 10 wickets. Sophia batted first and scored 23-3, while North Georgetown replied with 26-0; Samuel Grant made 12.
Saint Margaret overcame Saint Pius by 10 wickets. Batting first, Saint Pius managed 50-0 with Danesh Ramjeaum scoring 40. Saint Margaret’s responded with 52-0. Nehemiah Singh made 28 and Nathan Parag 10.
FE Pollard beat Ketley Primary by five runs. Batting first, FE Pollard got to 53-0; Alex Clarks and Antoine Griffith made 28 each. Ketley Primary scored 48-1 in reply. Christopher Nurse got 32.
In other matches, Saint Agnes made 51-1 with Mark David scoring 30 and Tresion Matthews 14. Bel Air Primary replied with 49-2; Kymary Missigher got 28.
Smith Memorial batted first and managed 42-0; Kelvin Bobb scored 24 and Deain Permaul 12. JE Burnham got to 32-0 in response; Justin Lee Price made 14.
West Ruimveldt took first strike and posted 44-1; Vikash Aeeran struck 24 and Omarian Cummings 12. Enterprise reached 45-1 in reply; Khy Atkinson stroked 22.
Winfer Garden rattled up 52-2, taking first strike with Quan Torrien scoring 26 and Shane Price 12. Tucville made 46-2 in reply; Neil Evans and Antwone Laundary scored 14 and 13 respectively. Raheen Henry took two wickets.
West Ruimveldt batted first and scored 74 – 1; O Cummings led with 29, while Joshua Gomes made 24 and V. Aeeran 14.
Redeemer were limited to 56 – 1 in reply. Cleon Rhyma made 22 and Crosby Padmoore 16.
In the female segment; West Ruimveldt scored 41-0; Marinda Cox got 12 and Ashana Rajkumar 10. Smith Memorial replied with 42-1; Dellanna Small made 22 and Fonda Gibbs 12.
Redeemer made 28 – 0, batting first while Saint Margaret’s replied with 29 – 0.
