Archery Guyana has announced that it would be represented at the III Caribbean Beginners and Developmental Championships to be held in Santo Domingo from June 28-30, 2019 by 2018 Outdoor Archery Champion, Mr. Robert Singh.
World Archery Americas and the Archery Federation of the Dominican Republic invited beginners and developmental archers of the Americas to compete at the III Caribbean Beginners and Developmental Championships.
Participation is not restricted to archers from the Caribbean; competitors from the entire North, Central and South Americas will be competing for the Honour of the best Beginner and Most Developed Archer in the Americas for 2019.
In the first and second years of this event, it was restricted to real beginners. For 2019, the organisers have added a second category, ‘Developmental’, which is a more advanced completion with a higher gradient of difficulty where participants will shoot at 50 meters (recurve at 122 cm faces, compound at 80 cm faces 5-10 scoring zones).
This new category does not include special limitations regarding equipment. In addition, Archers in this category may not have represented their countries at any World Ranking Events before.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
