Linden Foundation earn 1-0 win over New Silvercity Secondary to start tourney
Another double header on today
Play in the Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Linden Schools Under-18 football championship, now in its eleventh year, will continue this afternoon with two more matches at the Wisburg Secondary School ground after there was an opening win by Linden Foundation on Monday.
The games set for this afternoon will see at 14.45hrs Wisburg Secondary school, the hosts, will face Linden Foundation Secondary, while at 16.00hrs it will be a clash between Harmony Secondary and Mackenzie High School.
On Monday Shedrack Mackenzie netted the tournament’s opening goal in the 33rd minute for the Linden Foundation Secondary when they won 1-0 against New Silvercity Secondary at the Wisburg Secondary ground.
In the other game which was also played at the Wisburg Secondary ground, Harmony Secondary and Linden Technical Institute played to a 0-0 draw.
