Guyana born, Brooklyn based, world rated Super Middleweight boxer, Lennox “2 Sharp” Allen (22-0, 14KOs) beat American Derrick “Take it to the Bank” Webster (28-2, 14
KOs) on Friday by unanimous at
the Grand Casino Hinckley in Minnesota, USA, for the Interim World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Middleweight Title.
Allen is Guyana’s 5th male World champion.
The undefeated rising star was waiting a long time for this opportunity to become Guyana’s 5th World Champion and delivered the goods as promised as he overcame his opponent on all the judges’ score cards.
Allen’s team had already planned a victory celebration in New York which was set for yesterday and a homecoming motorcade in Guyana shortly.
