Dequain Bamfield grabbed five wickets as host Demerara Cricket Club defeated GNIC SC by four wickets when action in the Georgetown Cricket Association Noble House Sea Foods Generation Next U19 tournament continued on Sunday.
GNIC SC were bowled out for 61 in 21 overs after they were asked to bat. After being restricted to 11-7 at one stage, Trevon Jones propped up the total somewhat, hitting three fours in scoring 23 as Bamfield finished with 5-15 and Qumar Torrington 3-19.
DCC responded with 62-6 in 15 overs. Alphius Bookie made 25 not out as Dwain Dick picked up 3-8 and Trevon Charles 2-11.
