As part of their Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate’s (C.S.E.C) School based assessment (SBA), Marian Academy’s Fifth form Physical Education (P.E.) students have planned a National Schools Relay/Sprint Championship.
This championship is a C.S.E.C class project that was planned and will be executed and documented by the P.E. students preparing for this year’s (May-June) C.S.E.C examinations.
The championship will be run off on Saturday, January 26th, at the Police Progressive Sports Club (PPSC) ground, Eve Leary, commencing at 09:30hrs sharp. The events will be competed in the 100m, 200m and 400m, while the relays will be competed in the 4x100m and 4x400m with the age groups being under-15, u-17 and u-19; boys and girls.
The Relay/Sprint Championship is open to all schools. Schools desirous of participating can contact P.E. Teacher, Keith Smith or any of the C.S.E.C. P.E. students on any of the following numbers: 675-5566 or 659-0560.
First, second and third place Schools will be awarded trophies, while first to third place finishers in each event will be awarded medals.
