Paradise Invaders and fellow West Berbice team Monedderlust scored contrasting victories when play in the Candy Boss GT BEER 8-side football tournament continued with a double header.
The games which were played at the All saints Scott Church Ground, Princess Elizabeth Road, New Amsterdam, saw Paradise squeezing past Rosignol United of West bank Berbice 1-0, in the first encounter. Aubrey Joseph 19th minute strike was the sealer.
In game two Monedderlust FC hammered neighbours No5 FC 7-0 in a one sided affair. Travis Henry goals in the 9th and 36th minutes, Kevin Layne in the 10th minute and Akemo Watts in the 23rd minute made it 4-0 at lemon time.
It was more aging in the second half as Sceon Watts with double in the 45th and 48th minutes and Teron McDonald 49th minute strike helped with the 7-0 demolition.
Six teams remain in the competition and are divided into two groups in a round robin play off.
Group A: defending champions Police FC, Paradise and No 5 with group B consisting of Golden Stars, Monedderlust and Rosignol United.
Police had defeated Paradise 3-2 in an earlier game. (Samuel Whyte)
