It was goals galore at Oronoque Tarmac, Port Kaituma as defending champions Blazers 7 hammered Wolf PAC 5-0 and booked themselves a spot in the semifinals on January 01, 2019 when the Matarkai Sports Committee/ New Image Barber Shop/Platinum General Store annual football tournament continued Friday night in Region One.
Joshua Williams banged the first hat-trick of the tournament while his brother Elijah Spencer backed up with a double as Blazers 7 dominated the contest from the onset.
Joshua Williams opened the account for his team in the 5th minute and doubled the lead one minute later to give their fans much to cheer about. Elijah Spencer stretched the advantage when he found the back of the net in the 20th minute and netted his second in the 24th as his team looked on course to retain their title. Wolf PAC had no answer for their opponents and Williams completed his hat-trick in the 27th minute. Despite several efforts by Wolf PAC, they just couldn’t pierce Blazers 7 defence which stood firm throughout the game.
