Fisherman Masters have grown from strength to strength in the softball arena for the past year and on Sunday night last at an appreciation ceremony held at M and M Investment Inc, Peter’s Hall, the team rewarded its players and fans for their commitment.
The ceremony was organised by all-rounders Zameer Hassan and Dennis Mangru and apart from the aforementioned duo, among other players that received prizes were Danny Thomas, Pooran Singh, Ramesh Parsram, Lloyd Squires, Stanley Mohabir, Robert Mohan, Narendra Puran, Troy Ramsaywack and Munilall Mohanlall.
Awards were also given out to the wives of the players for their supporting roles as well as Kimberly Puran, Makala Mangroo and Razia Hassan for their outstanding achievement in the recent CSEC examination, while Kaieteur News Sports Journalist Zaheer Mohamed was rewarded for his outstanding services rendered to the sport.
Also present at the function were Jagdesh Persaud and Mohamed Rafeek.
In an invited comment, Hassan said that it’s their way of saying thank you to the fans, adding that he is looking forward to their continued support. Hassan lauded the players on their performance throughout the year and urged them to remain committed to the team.
