Young hearts were gleeful last Saturday when the Guyana Police Force hosted its annual Other Ranks Children Christmas Party, at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.
The event which catered for children of ranks below that of Officers, saw attendance of approximately 200 children.
Apart from meals and music, other attractions included bouncy castle, trampolines, face painting and several Santa Clauses. The mixture of music and children screaming as they played, created an exciting atmosphere.
The youngsters’ enthusiasm climaxed as they received their gifts from Santa.
Coordinated by the Force Welfare Officer, Assistant Superintendant Jewel Sullivan and her team, the event was also graced with the presence of Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’ Paul Williams DSM; Deputy Commissioner ‘Operations’ Maxine Graham, DSM; Director of Music, Superintendent Charmine Stuart and a number of other ranks who accompanied the little ones.
