Demerara Bank yesterday brought smiles to several orphaned children from Sophia Care Home, A Sanctuary Children’s Home, and Saheed’s Boys and Girls Orphanages as they presented their inaugural Christmas cheer and fun day.
The event was held at the Indian Monument Garden and consisted of a number of activities for the children.
The children made full use of a bouncy ‘castle’ and the trampoline, and engaged in face painting throughout the event.
The children were treated to tasty meals as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and their helpers came out and presented them with several treats.
When they completed their meal, there was more games and thrills. Mrs. Claus took charge of the kids, especially those taking part in the balloon race.
Despite his size, Santa found time to run around a bit with the children. Although they were still filled with energy, Santa and his helpers managed to gather the children to receive their presents.
