Soesdyke Secondary School have made a solid start to this year’s National Sports Commission AL Sport and Tour Promotions 27th Annual Christmas Term school boys
Windball Cricket competition recently at the National Gymnasium.
Soesdyke Secondary defeated Tucville Secondary by nine wickets in their opening encounter. Tucville Secondary batted first and made 89-5 with Dwayne Jones scoring 32; Tyrell Lovell had 2-12. Soesdyke in reply made 92-1. T. Lovell struck 48 and Chris Browne 24.
Central High beat Carmel Secondary by 14 runs. Batting first, Central High posted 127-1. Deonarine Tiwari slammed 70 while Joshua Thomas got 22.
Carmel Secondary managed 113 without loss in reply. Jomal Dos Santos stroked 79 and Malachi Shepherd 28.
Soesdyke Secondary overcame East Ruimveldt Secondary by four wickets. East Ruimveldt Secondary made 97-3, taking first turn in the middle with Jaifet George scoring 33 and Renaldo Baldeo 24; Chris Browne picked up two wickets.
Soesdyke Secondary responded with 101 -6 winning the game off the last ball; Devon Williams scored 35; Timothy Prescott captured three wickets.
Jagdeo giving Exxon 102 cent to collect 2 cent.
