Dec 13, 2018 Letters
We pen this letter in retort to one carried in your media outlet on December 8th, 2018 – “This Garnett St. Business is a nuisance to the Neighbourhood”
Foremost, the Fireside Grill and Chill was established to provide a family oriented ambience for the Guyanese public and we have maintained that stance over the 18 months that we’ve been operable. Our primary basis for this type of entity was to shy away from the raucous atmosphere, and create a healthy eatery with soft music and a customer friendly haven.
Mr. Editor, the Fireside Grill is an independent entity – a club stands contiguous to our establishment. Our hours of business are 12pm-11pm, therefore, we vehemently disavow the sinister accusations of the writer that patrons of our entity parade disheveled in the wee hours of the morning.
In conclusion, we are appalled that your media outlet hasn’t done due diligence to authenticate these malicious accusations, which are evidently poised to denigrate our esteemed establishment. Frankly, it’s horrendous to think of the damage one can cause, shielded by “anonymous.”
Yours respectfully
Management of Fireside Grill and Chill
Editor’s note: It is being queried whether the club that is contiguous to the Grill shares the management of the Fireside Grill.
Secondly, the headline used by Kaieteur News was ‘The Fire Side Grill and Bar is a nuisance to the Kitty Neighbourhood’ and not the one quoted in the letter.
