Some 225 children were treated to a festive time last Thursday when the Dharm Shala benevolent home hosted its Annual Children’s Christmas Party. This year marked the 98th hosting of the event and entailed entertaining music by popular musician Ras Camo.
Also present was Santa Claus who ensured that those in attendance were afforded a fulfilling and exciting time. The children took advantage of the many tasty snacks, drinks and bags of goodies handed out to them. They were also the beneficiaries of gift-wrapped toys, which were distributed by Mrs. Varsha Dave, wife of the Chief Executive Officer of Demerara Bank. She was assisted by Mrs. Ruth Wilson, an executive member of the Dharm Shala Board.
Meanwhile, the next such event to be hosted this season will be a luncheon for the elderly set for Christmas Day at 11:00 hours in the Dharm Shala compound.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
