The Champions of Change organisation is seeking to make a difference in the lives of children this Christmas by bringing Santa’s Sleigh to them.
During its eight years in existence, the organisation has conducted fund-raising events to sponsor children for medical surgeries. It has also provided school packages and hampers among many other exceptional things.
For the Christmas season, the organisation is hoping to carry out a weekly sleigh ride around communities.
This will be done every Sunday leading up to Christmas. The sleigh ride will begin on December 2 and Albouystown would be the first stop. Santa will then move on to Tiger bay, Sophia and the Georgetown Public Hospital respectfully on the other follow up dates.
Local artist Lil Million will be collaborating with the organisation to raise funds for the initiative. They will be stationed at the ACME building on Regent Street from Monday to Friday. Persons can donate gifts or money for the initiative and provisions will be made for both at the location.
Persons wishing to donate monetarily or with gifts can contact the President or Operation Manager of the organisation on 673-3720/684-2196/674- 2397.
