Three teenagers who allegedly killed a drug addict after he refused to purchase drugs from them were yesterday charged and remanded to prison.
John McKenzie, 19, an attendant attached to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and two 15-year-olds, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan who read the charge to them.
It is alleged that on November 17, last, at Lombard Street, Georgetown, the three while being in company of each other murdered ‘Buckman’ (only name given).
They were not required to plead to the indictable charge after it was read to them in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
According to the Court Prosecutor, on the day in question the teenagers saw ‘ Buckman’ purchasing drugs from someone else and they dealt him several stabs about his body.
The Magistrate after listening to the Prosecutor facts remanded the trio to prison.
They were instructed to make their next court appearance on December 11.
