The Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA), Permaul’s Trading, Khan’s Trading and Trophy Stall tournament is set to continue tomorrow with several matches. At Malteenoes Sports Club, Swan Strikers will take on Wellwoman at 12:30hrs and 4R Lioness will face Swan Strikers at 15:00hrs. At Parika Salem, Regal Masters will take on Parika Defenders at 11:00hrs.
In results from the latest round of matches played recently, at MSC Speedboat defeated Spikeland Challengers by 160 runs. Batting first, Speedboat posted 288-6 off their allotted 20 overs, batting first.
Lennox Marks struck 74, Wazeer Hussain 61 and Greg Singh 53. Spikeland Challengers were bowled out for 128 in reply. Marks claimed 3-13. Success Masters overcame Narine Masters by three wickets.
Narine Masters took first strike and scored 167-9 in 20 overs. Success Masters responded with 168-7 in 18 overs. Mark Fung got 41 not out. In the female segment, Swan Strikers beat 4R Lioness by nine wickets.
4R Lioness got to 115-7 off their allocation of 15 overs, taking first strike. Swan Strikers responded with 116-1 in 9.3 overs. Carmalita Adams struck 54 not out and Alisha Gilkes 30.
