The GT Beer/BFA/Candy Boss/Antics Promotions 8-a-side Invitational knockout football
tournament will continue this weekend with four matches at the All Saints Presbyterian Church ground in New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Two games are carded for today with Beacons FC of Georgetown coming up against NA United at 19:00hrs followed by Mahaica Determinators doing battle with Number 5 from 20:30hrs. City side, Police FC will clash with Wolves United in the first match of a double header on Sunday to be followed by a showdown between Cougars ‘A’ and Edinburgh Gunners in the night cap.
Fyrish Sharks and Corentyne All Stars are already eliminated following defeats to Paradise FC and Rosignol United, respectively.
Teams from Berbice, Georgetown, East Coast Demerara and West Demerara are battling for supremacy and a chance to win cash prizes and trophies in excess of $1.2 million. Sponsors include Banks DIH Limited under the GT Beer Brand, Fly Jamaica, Regional Health Services, Foot-soul, Bobb and Sons, National Sports Commission and Integrated Security.
The organisers are Candy Boss and Antics Promotions.
Matches will be every Friday and Sunday until the grand final on January 5th, 2019 at the same venue.
