Who stole the graduation money from the school safe?
That’s the mystery that ranks from the Golden Grove Police Station are trying to get to the bottom of, after $107,000 in cash disappeared from the Diamond Secondary School.
Kaieteur News understands that the cash was collected for the school’s upcoming graduation. It was reportedly stored in a safe, to which two persons allegedly have access to the keys. When senior officials checked last Friday, they were shocked to find that the money was gone. The police were called in and four female teachers were taken into custody.
They were detained at the East La Penitence Police Station, but have since been released on $10,000 bail each, as the investigation continues.
