Rising Star Cricket Club (RSCC) have booked their place in the final of the inaugural MPL T20 tournament, thanks to a spectacular all-round performance by Shaquille Brisport.
Set a competitive score of 176 for victory on a good batting track at Tuschen, RSCC were struggling at 96-5 after 14 overs, requiring a run rate of over 13 runs in the last six overs. However, Brisport struck five fours and three sixes in a cameo 50 not out from 24 balls and received valuable support from Brain Austin who made 35 off 24 balls with one four and two sixes as RSCC achieved victory with three deliveries to spare.
Earlier Cold Fusion were led by 82 off 40 balls from R. Dookie who slammed six fours and five sixes; Brisport was the pick of the bowlers with 3-27, while Michael Richardson had 2-10.
