When the final whistle was blown at the end of the 70-minutes, Santos FC remained unbeaten and was the eventual winner of the Georgetown Football Association-IMC GFF-Pele Alumni “Frank Watson” Intra-Association U15 tournament defeating Masters Academy by a 3 – 1 margin and 24 points on the card.
The match was played on Sunday, 4th November, at the GFC Ground, Bourda, which saw goals from Raymond Bandhu, National U15 player Kevin Mullin and Akeem Gittens in the 48th, 63rd and 67th minutes respectively. Masters Academy’s lone goal was from Omar Reid in the 69th and was enough to have them end the tournament in the third-place position with 13 points.
Eastveldt ended the tournament in second-place following a walkover from Fruta Conquerors FC with 17 points.
During the presentation ceremony at the conclusion of the match, Pele Alumni’s Representative
John Yates congratulated Santos FC and the teams for their participation and encouraged them to ensure they have a sound academic education to complement their football skills. GFA-IMC
Chairman Trevor Williams echoed the sentiments of Yates and extended congratulations to the clubs and team members involved in the coordination and execution of the league.
GFF’s President Wayne Forde and Technical Director Ian Greenwood were also on hand to witness the finale.
