Police yesterday issued a wanted bulletin for 53-year-old Elon Azore who is wanted for the murder of Dennis Richards. Richards’ body was found in an abandoned house in August 2008.
Kaieteur News understands that Azore called ‘Fudgee’ allegedly called Richards out of his home on August 7, 2008 and dealt him a severe beating before leaving him to die in the abandoned house at Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara.
The injured man was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he eventually died.
At the time of his demise, Richards 19 had been residing at Enterprise Gardens, East Coast Demerara. The police had said that he was beaten with pieces of wood by four men. Azore has been eluding police ranks for years and has avoided being captured despite several police raids.
His children were even detained by the authorities at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport when they attempted to leave Guyana for Trinidad.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Azore is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 229-2289, 229-3564, 229-2557, 274-0409, 274-1221, 229-2750, 229-2019, 225-3650, 226-1929, 911 or the nearest police station. All information will be treated in strict confidence.
