Play in the Hamilton Green Cup 9-a-side Inter Ward/Village KO football tournament continues tomorrow at the Den Amstel ground from 4:00pm with ten scheduled matches.
Teams are hunting the $400,000 first prize and the Ministry of Citizenry trophy, along with the other lucrative offerings in the second prize of $200,000 and John Fernandes trophy, $60,000 and the Courtney Benn trophy is the third prize and fourth will collect the Techno Mills trophy and $40,000. Individual prizes are also on offer for the top performers with AH&L Kissoon, China Trading, Techno Mills and Ricks and Sari among the donors.
Lennox Cush will provide four lighting towers compliments of sponsorship from Minister Joe Harmon to aid the tournament and Coordinator Lennox Arthur has expressed gratitude to all those who have assisted with sponsorship.
Fixtures for tomorrow will see Newtown Kitty vs Zeelugt, Kuru Kururu vs Alexander Village, Soesdyke vs Sophia, Agricola vs Tucville, Bagotsville vs Plaisance, Sara Lodge vs Jetty, Wales vs Vergenoegen, Goed Fortuin vs De Kinderen, Den Amstel Back Street vs Sparta Family and Crane vs Kitty. Two of the exciting players carrying their teams’ charge tomorrow are Anthony Sancho of New Town Kitty and Cordel Johnson of Kuru Kururu as a number of exciting talent will be on show.
