Dear Editor,
The Guyana Police Force wishes to inform all and sundry that following speculation from some sections of society that the Guyana Teachers’ Union(GTU) has planned to take their picket exercises to the Streets, please be advised that that information is untrue.
A team of Senior Police Officers from’ A’ Division, met with the General Secretary of GTU, Ms Coretta McDonald yesterday and she indicated that she is totally unaware of any such intention; she also mentioned that the Union has not written the Police for permission to hold any such activity.
