Guyana wrapped up its participation in the 2018 Pan-American Championships in the Cayman Islands with the Men’s Team finishing on a winning note by beating British Virgin Islands 2-1.
Scoring for Guyana was Richard Chin and Jason Khalil while Sunil Seth conceded his match due to injury; Guyana finished in 15th place. On the distaff side, after qualifying for the Pan-Am Games on Saturday evening, Guyana was seeking some revenge against the Chilean team that eliminated them in 2014 from qualifying for the Pan-Am Games.
However, it was not to be as both Mary Fung-a-Fat and Nicolette Fernandes lost their matches. However, Guyana was able to achieve its highest finish at these championships, ending in 6th position.
