Priyanna Ramdhani ended the 2018 edition of the CAREBACO Regional Under-11, 13, 15, & 17 Championships with a bang capturing two more gold medals to end with three when the curtains came down on Wednesday night at the Ring Sports Center, Paramaribo, Suriname.
Ramdhani was crowned the Triple Champion in the Girls Under-17 category as she gathered the highest points in the Singles, Girls Doubles as well as the Mixed Doubles categories. After having won the Girls doubles teaming up with a Barbadian player, Ramdhani stiormed to further gold medals in the Singles and Mixed Doubles on the final night, Wednesday. Competition had gotten underway since August 17th last.

Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Chaista Soemodipoero of Suriname: 21-6, 21-7
Under-17 Mix Doubles Final:
Priyanna Ramdhani & Vance Juteram of T&T defeated Jair Naipal & Erisa Bleau of Suriname: 21-15, 21-7
According to the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA), it is extremely happy with the performances of the players once again at the CAREBACO Championships. A release stated that: “It was the best for us as it’s the first time we are playing and medaled in the senior International and it’s also the first time we have won the Under-19 International.”
Collectively, the GBA team won 12 medals as follows:
Priyanna Ramdhani (8 medals) 5 Gold/2-Under-19 International; 3-Regional, 2-Silver
(Seniors International and 1-Bronze (Senior International)
Narayan Ramdhani (2 medals) 2-Bronze – Senior International
Jonathan Mangra (1-medal) 1-Bronze – Senior International
Mishka Beharry (1 medal) 1-Bronze – Regional
