The BWF CAREBACO International Senior Championships 2018 continued Thursday at the Ring Sports Center in Paramaribo Suriname.
The Guyanese Players all performed above the call of duty as they played extremely well in their first Senior CAREBACO International Championships and got into four semi-finals and made it into two finals.
These players stand up to 6-7 matches in one day and ran over 8-10 miles on the court.
The Night started out with the Ladies Singles Semi-Finals with exceptionally talented Guyanese Priyanna Ramdhani who defeated Jamaican No.1 player Katherine Wynter who was also Ranked No.1 in the tournament in a three setter: 24-22, 10-21, 21-14 to get into the final.
Priyanna then played the Ladies Doubles Semi-Finals with Chequeda De Boulet of Trinidad to defeat the Surinamese pair of Imani Mangroe & Mary-Ann Zhong in another three setter: 17-21, 21-16, 21-7 to reach the Final.
Priyanna then played the Mixed Doubles Semi-Finals with Narayan Ramdhani but lost in yet another three setter to the Experienced No.1 seeded players Dakeil Thorpe & Tamisha Williams of Barbados: 21-17, 17-21, 22-20. This was really a quite thrilling match and they settled for the bronze medal.
The Men Doubles Semi-Finals saw Narayan Ramdhani & Jonathan Mangra lost to the experienced Dylan Darmohoetomo & Gilmar Jones of Suriname: 2-15, 21-8 and settled for the bronze.
Priyanna Ramdhani is the only player in Three Semi-Finals in the over-all Senior International Championships. Quite an accomplishment for a 16 year old junior player who still have further to go as she will be playing in the CAREBACO Regional Under-17 Championships next week and only recently won the CAREBACO Junior International. Narayan is in Two and Jonathan Mangra is in One semifinal.
The tournament continued last night with Priyanna going for the gold in both the Ladies Singles and Ladies Doubles.
LISTEN HOW JAGDEO WILL MAKE ALL GUYANESE RICH!!!
