Dear Editor,
It is with great concern and vexation that we write to you seeking your intervention in this issue of GTT Blaze. In the early 2000’s, GT&T came into the La-Grange/ Bagotville/Nismes communities to give their newly introduced “Dish” phones. Apparently, their plan was only to share these phones with the La-Grange and Canal #1 communities. However, after numerous protests, they eventually gave these phones to the residents of Bagotville/ Inner Bagotville villages. To this date, some of these dishes are still propped on resident’s homes, though they have become obsolete.
With the new advancements in technology, GTT has now introduced their “BLAZE” internet. It seems as though this community may have to protest again. This company has been blatant enough to share their product with streets parallel to the Inner Bagotville road, which are Unity and David Rose Streets, and have even cut through a dam perpendicular to this road, leaving at least thirty occupied homes before this dam without Blaze internet. Within these thirty homes there are at least four businesses, including an apartment complex, two day-cares, a great deal of school children and even two churches.
The residents of this area have inquired as to why we haven’t received this internet, unlike the remainder of the street, only to be told that when GPL replaces the lantern posts in this area, we would receive this internet. GPL has completed their job of installing these posts since April-May. Inquiries have been made to GTT since then as to why we still have not received this precious commodity, though these posts are now installed. We have not received a proper answer since. Blaze has even been into the majority of Parfaite Harmony and shared their internet. Why skip an entire community and share to communities in the same area?
This is blatant eye pass.
