A man was yesterday granted bailed to the tune of $100,000 in the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court, after a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking was read to him.
The accused who was identified as Bernard Beaton of Adventure Sands, Essequibo Coast, made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Hugh. It is alleged that on the 19th of August, Beaton had in his possession 40 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
The man, who was not represented by an attorney, pleaded not guilty to the charge, and was granted the aforementioned bail.
