A section of the East Coast Demerara roadway is to be closed tomorrow as part of the ongoing four lane expansion.
According to GTT, the East Coast public road within the vicinity of Lusignan Road will be temporarily closed tomorrow.
The road closure is necessary in order to facilitate a request made by China Railway First Group, the contractor responsible for the East Coast Highway Improvement Project (Better Hope to Belfield), the telephone company said,
The work will include the installation of underground ducts to facilitate a cable diversion. “Pending favourable weather conditions, work will commence from 8:30hrs and is expected to conclude by 15:30hrs. Traffic will be diverted through Melsha Road (west) onto Railway Embankment into Church of God Road Buxton (East),” GTT said.
