With the march pass and kick off set for tonight at the Mackenzie Sport Club (MSC) Hard Court, the fifth annual New Era Entertainment organised Mohamed’s Enterprise/ExxonMobil Futsal tournament, received timely support yesterday morning from Broad Money Auto Spares at the company’s Republic Avenue location, Linden.
During the simple but significant ceremony, Broad Money Auto Spares representative Dukquan Rose made the presentation of the sponsorship cheque to Director of New Era, Aubrey Major Jnr.
Tonight, the 20 teams from Georgetown, Linden and the West Demerara will be begin the clash that will last over seven playing nights at the same playing venue which has benefited from some recent renovations compliments of the New Era promotional group, for the grand cash prize of $600,000.
In addition, when the final whistle is blown on August 18th, the runners-up will receive a handsome $250,000, third $100,000 and fourth place $50,000 in the competition which has been sanctioned by the Guyana Football Federation (GFF).
The tournament will follow a group round-robin/knockout format with 20 teams being divided into four groups at the first. Eight potentially exciting matches have been carded for tonight that from 18:30hrs.
Mines FC and Red Line will have the honour of playing this year’s first match while the feature match of the night will see Good Fellas matching skills with Hard Ball at 23:10hrs.
