During the past week, Hand-in-Hand Mutual Fire Insurance Company Ltd exercised their corporate duty by assisting the Region One Democratic Council with the Venezuelans who are seeking refuge in the Region.
In a simple presentation at the company’s Head Office at Lot 1-4 Avenue of the Republic, Georgetown, Mrs. Chuwattie Ramsaroop, Assistant Motor Manager, proudly handed over hampers containing food items and basic necessities to Mr. Brentnol Ashley, Regional Chairman, to be distributed among the Venezuelans.
Mrs. Ramsaroop commended the RDC for the wholehearted efforts in assisting the refugees. She stated that the Company is proud to be able to provide the basic necessities to the individuals in need and hopes that this contribution will be able to make a difference.
Mr. Ashley expressed sincere gratitude to the company for the assistance and commended the management for always being in the frontline in its support of those in need. He also appealed to the remainder of corporate Guyana to show their hospitality to the Venezuelans in need.
