Al Ghazali Islamic Academy (AIA) and Meten Meer Zorg Islamic Academy(MAI) have once again recorded passes in the top 200 of the country at the recent NGSA exams.
Meten Meer Zorg Islamic Academy once again is among the top schools in Region 3, and their performance as well as that of Al Ghazali Islamic Academy, has improved over the years.
“Credit must be given to Sir Omadat Persaud, Ms. Roshanie Ramlochan, Sir Johnny and the Principals; Ms. Bibi Young and Sir Hasib Azeez,” the organization said in a statement.
Among those who recorded passes in the top 200 at the Al Ghazali Islamic Academy (AIA) is an orphan, Farzana Bacchus, who was awarded a scholarship by the CIOG after her father’s death.
This year, 15 orphans and children from vulnerable situations, who are currently benefitting from the CIOG’s Orphan Sponsorship Program, wrote the NGSA exams and all were successful.
“CIOG is of the view that investment in our children’s education is the best investment and no child should be left behind because of poverty. CIOG congratulates our students and all the students who were successful at the recent NGSA, their teachers and parents. We thank God Almighty for every success.”
