Floodlights tourney getting good support from Business community
Blairmont Centre Cricket Club (BCCC) has gained meaningful support from the business community for the Roy Fredericks Floodlight Cup “REVOLUTION” which is slated for Saturday July 21 at the Albion.
Republic Bank Ltd, Shelton Construction Firm, Arshad Jewelry& Electronics, Imran Barber Shop, Kebbie’s Graphic Mind Art, A. Ally & Son’s, Innovation 360,The Region 5 Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Universal DVD and Solutions, Gavin’s Fashion World, Unicell, Imran & daughter General Store, Hamid’s General Store, Poonai’s Pharmacy, Rose Hall Youth and Sports Club, Ameer Ishmeal Chicken Farm, Rite Choice Supermarket and Big B’s – Baksh Restaurant are on-board supporting this event which has been the major fundraiser for BCCC for the last three years.
The day’s activity is expected to commence at 09:00 hrs and conclude 22:30 hrs with the seven teams competing for the supremacy.
Two times defending champions, Blairmont Blazer, will be hard pressed to retain their crown since stiff challenges should come from Albion Cricket Club, Demerara Cricket Club, Rose Hall Youth & Sports Club, Port Mourant Cricket Club, Young Warriors and Upper Corentyne Cricket Association.
Guyanese born internationally acclaimed Cricket Commentator, Joseph “Reds” Perreira, who has over 40 years of regional and international experience in Sports analysis, is expected to grace the occasion with his presence. International commentators Inderjeet Persaud and Sean Devers will share live ground commentary with Reds.
There will be lots of other attractions such as Domino Competition, Volleyball, Tassa Drumming, Lighted Bails, 4 and 6 fans, bowl off, spectator catch, cartoon characters walk around and more.
