Showing tremendous skill Munaf Arjune 64/9, (who won the recent Ganesh Parts inaugural tournament of May 1) seemed to enjoy playing on the 1st of the month as he chalked up another win at the Lusignan Golf Club on Sunday last.
While there was some jostling for 2nd to 6thpositions, the nearest competitor was some 10 strokes behind Munaf. In the LGC’s 7th Club Tournament for the year 2nd was Club Vice President, Paton George 74/19; 3rd Bridgelall Harry 75/16’ with 4th – 6th respectively Mike Mangal 76/9; Aleem Hussain 77/11 and Deanand Bissessar 78/22.
The Course continues to hold up well as the rainy weather seems to be receding, and Groundsmen are doing a continuous work to maintain the Course in good playing condition. With fine weather expected for the August, September period, one can expect up to as much as 6 tournaments a month. Meanwhile, golfers can look forward to the huge 2-day Lusignan Open now rescheduled for August 4th and 5th.
