Sarwat Tatsie “Kishan” a businessman of Earls Court LBI, East Coast Demerara, came back to Guyana last Friday to find millions in household items gone and a vehicle missing.
Kishan, who owns and operates Kishan’s Aluminum Windows & Doors, at Good Hope on the East Coast Demerara, said he left Guyana on the June 12 for Canada. On his return to Guyana at around 01:00 hrs Friday morning, he discovered his vehicle missing and his house was broken into and a number of items missing.
The businessman estimates his losses in the millions. The stolen household items and tools include three television sets, one music set, a number of electric tools, value in excess of $ 2.5 million Guyana dollars, while the vehicle which is a Nissan Armada SUV, registration number PPP 7456, is valued at $18 million Guyana dollars.
Kishan is of the belief that the individuals broke into his house then loaded the items into his vehicle and left, since the vehicle is one of only five in Guyana, and there is little that can be done with it. He is hoping that the watchful eyes of citizens will help him in recovering his vehicle. Kishan is asking anyone who sees a black Nissan Armada similar to the one in the photo, to call the nearest police station.
