The State Assets Recovery Agency (SARA) in collaboration with several other agencies will be hosting a T20 fixture called “Lash It Out” at the Demerara Cricket Club, Queenstown.
The game which is set for July 13 was launched yesterday in the conference room of the State Assets Recovery Agency, 56 Main and New Market Streets, Georgetown.
Speaking at the ceremony, SARA legal advisor Ronald Bostwick stated that the game fits in perfectly into SARA’s mission, which is to eliminate corruption as much as possible, while the entity’s Media and Communications Officer Melissa Davy noted that the game is just one of the many activities the agency is using to build public awareness on corruption.
Former West Indies all-rounder and President of the DCC, Roger Harper, said that the club is happy to be a part of the game, especially what it’s signifies.
Coach Garvin Nedd of the National Sports Commission and Warren Wintz of Bold! Luxurious! Beautiful! (BLB Clothing), both uttered their delight to be associated with the fixture.
Information released yesterday, indicated that the two teams are Furious Jaguars and Super Sixers.
No entrance fee is required, while Fly Jamaica is offering a ticket to one lucky fan to either the USA or Canada. Game time is 18:00hrs.
