A six year old pupil of Abrams Creek Primary in the Upper Pomeroon is believed to have drowned in the Pomeroon River.
According to information reaching Kaieteur News, the boy, Ramesh Khan, fell in the river during his lunch break, around 11:45 hrs yesterday.
Reports are that the boy had gone to the adjacent Health Post landing, and was washing his feet and hands at the time, after playing under the Health Post building. Though information remains sketchy at this time, police investigations are on the way, and efforts are being made to locate the body.
