The Guyana Police Force ‘B’ Division led by Deputy Commander, Superintendent Wayne DeHearte and Community Relations Officer, Inspector Margaret Grosvenor yesterday, rendered financial assistance to the family of 15-year-old cyclist Beyonce Ross of Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, Berbice.
Ross, a three-time junior gold medalist at the National School Championship was April last, was diagnosed with a non-malignant (cancerous) brain tumor at the center of the brain.
Superintendent DeHearte in making the donation at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation comforted the mother of Ross, Yonette Clarke and urged her to be strong during this period; he also urged her to continue praying for prayers can move mountains.
Ms. Clarke, a mother of five, thanked the Guyana Police Force for this kind gesture and urged the Force to pray for her only daughter because; “God can make miracles happen” and “if Lazarus could have been risen then my only daughter can be healed.”
The financial assistance was made possible by Commander ‘B’ Division, Assistant Commissioner Lyndon Alves and the ranks under his command.
