Two days after the murderous rampage executed by an enraged husband and father who subsequently ended his life at Glasgow Housing Scheme, East Bank Berbice, the autopsy was completed and the results are out.
Performed by a Government Pathologist, it revealed that 38-year-old Bhindomattie Seetaram called ‘Kameel’ died from shock and hemorrhage with lacerations to the brain compounded with a fractured skull. Her daughter Aniela Khan, 21, also died from shock and hemorrhage with lacerations to the brain and a fractured skull.
Jainarine ‘Rado’ Seetaram, the man who murdered them died from asphyxiation due to self suspension. He had been found hanging.
On Wednesday, at approximately 9:30am, the neighbourhood of Glasgow and the entire Berbice went into deep shock with the news that a woman and her daughter were murdered by a man – their own husband and father.
Jainarine Seetaram, armed with a hammer and kitchen knife, went berserk and launched the deadly attack on his wife as she lay helpless in their hammock. She was battered in the head with a hammer until she was unconscious then he slit her throat.
His two children, Aniela and Mahesh, 11, who were upstairs witnessed the entire ordeal, but just when they thought they could calm him down, in his rage turned his attention to his son. The boy managed to escape after his father tried to hit him with the hammer, he ran to his grandmother’s residence a street away and informed her of the attack.
The man during that time savagely bashed his daughter’s head in with the hammer as well. By the time young Seetaram arrived with his grandmother, both women were lying in pools of blood in the bottom flat of the house where they were attacked.
Their killer escaped into the nearby canefields and subsequently hung himself at an abandoned house, some 500 meters away from the crime scene.
The young boy is currently in the care of relatives.
