One of the country’s biggest dental laboratories has expanded with more equipment and rooms to deal with the growing crowds that have been coming.
At the Lot 14 Public Road, Peter’s Hall location, on the East Bank Demerara, C. Persaud Dental Lab and Clinic Inc. has now expanded to another lot, introducing more rooms.
It has more x-ray machines and more chairs to take on the specialist procedures.
“We were finding that it was becoming too congested and in keeping with our vision, we have naturally been working to improve the customer experience.”
The dental lab has made a name for itself in its decades of existence in Guyana.
Guyanese and even persons living in CARICOM countries and North America have been trekking to Guyana to capitalize on the lost costs for dentures and other dental procedures.
According to Managing Director, Cobeer ‘Anand’ Persaud, he has also invested in more chairs and even special equipment to deal with used needles and other wastes.
From humble beginnings, the 54-year-old has evolved from Peter’s Hall First Street, buying a property on the Public Road and expanding it ever so often.
Today, Persaud has at least three dentists, several dental assistants, and dental nurses operating at his facilities.
He has been reaching out for the children’s homes and institutions dealing with special needs children.
School children have been given preferential rates with deals also for families.
“We have been working to meet the needs of persons walking off the road…we are doing what we can in our own little way,” the dental technician said.
The sprawling facility has especially been making a name for itself with dentures with senior citizens too benefiting from special rates.
“We are dealing with the popular gold caps too and offering the regular extraction and whitening and cleaning.”
