The Blairmount Cricket Club executives and members is offering congratulations to its five members on being selected in the Guyana Under-17 training squad and Berbice Under-19 to participate in the inter county U-19 tournament currently underway.
The BCC is elated Fawaz Gafoor, Seon Glasgow jr, Marvan Prashad, Nigel Deodat (Guyana under-17) and Javed Karim (Berbice under-19) have benefited the rewards for discipline, determination and dedication.
BCC would also like to take this opportunity to encourage its members of the CHAMPIONSHIP team for the Wellmen & GFLSCA under-13 tourney (2017) Antowne Alexander, Zaynul Ramsammy, Sakir Saffie, Shreedat Rupnarine, Vickendra Singh, Darius Joseph and Tomani Caesar on making the Berbice or President XI under-15 inter-county.
These above mention players are the products of their Cricket Development programmes, since their resuscitation in 2010. Blairmount Cricket Club has produced a total of 59 cricketers for Berbice at all levels. Deveshwari Prashad, Waqar Hassan, Nick Ramsaroop and Parmanand Ramdhan were the first set of players to make the Berbice under-19 and under-15 team in 2011 of the new Era.
“We wish these players great fortune and hope they perform to their best ability to make Blairmount Cricket Club proud. The executives would continue to work diligently for the interest of its members.
BCC would like to thank its youths sponsors Bel Air Farm and Equipment Supplies, GT&T, Baksh Travel Service, Hand in Hand and Big B’s Restaurant for its continued support,” a release from the club informed.
