Today, from 12:30pm, competition for the 2018 Lusignan Golf Club Champion Title continues with this 3rd Tournament for the year having great possibilities of upsets as golfers strive to take up the challenge thrown out by Club President Aleem Hussain that the Executive will make a clean sweep of the top places.
Tee-off is scheduled for 12:30pm and it is certain that former Captain and veteran golfer Patrick Prashad as well as former Guyana Open champions Mike Mangal and Avinash Persaud, as well as Guyana Open aspirants Richard Haniff and ‘Max’ Persaud will be digging in for extra performances. Executive members, Secretary ‘Pandit Ravi’, Treasurer Shaw and President Hussain will have their work cut-out to stay at the forefront.
It promises to be an exciting tournament as each golfer’s Club Tournament score receives points that will be added at the end of the year and the best aggregate over a certain number of tournaments out of the 10 to be played will be used to determine the Champion.
In addition, President Hussain advises that lots of benefits will go to the Champion including umbrellas, golf clubs, golf bag, $50,000 cash, preferred parking spot, free locker, 5% off Assuria Discount Card (good at 60+ locations), a trophy and of course, a full year of bragging rights.
Spectators at this Tournament are allowed in free, so all are welcome to view the event and of course enjoy the ambience of the Lusignan Golf Club.
October 1st turn off your lights to bring about a change!
