No70 Spartans destroyed No70 Young Blood by 240 runs after scoring 340-7 in 35 overs. Tameshwar Ramoutar plundered the bowling to lead the way with a quick fire 102 (5×4, 10×6). He got support from Ryan Jacobs 59(6×4, 1×6), Naieem Yakoob 53 and Navin Budhoo 24.
Bowling for Young Blood, there were 2 wickets each for Jason Walton and Navendra Balram. They were dismissed for 77 in 19.3 overs. Doing the damage were Omesh Khemraj and Ryan Jacobs with 4 wickets each.
Scottsburg United continued their winning way with a 131 runs win over No71 Sports Club.
Scotsburg made 239 with Alex Burnett 55, Michael Kendall 54 and Raj Samaroo 20.
Bowling for No71 D. Ramroop picked up 3 wickets with Somdat Singh taking 2. They were then dismissed for 108 in 25 overs. Bowling for the winners Michael Kendall 4-16 was supported by James Heart and Alex Burnett with 2 wickets each.
Crabwood Creek Sports Club got the better of Yakusari Caribs by 112 runs. CWCSP batted first and made 201 in 30 overs with M. Bhola 51(3×4, 4×6), D. Chalitar and Q. Khan 32 and J. Singh 21. Bowling for The Caribs there were 3 wickets each for D. Parsram and P. Rauy.
Caribs were bundled out for 89 with T. Ramsar 28 and K. Amid 21.
Doing the damage for CWCSP were Q. Khan 3 and L. Tamessar with 2 wickets.
A Six wicket haul by Michael Singh helped his team, No72 Cut and Load, defeat CWC Bomb Squad by 19 runs in a low scoring affair.
Cut and Load batted and were bowled out for 106 in 22.2 overs with Kadil Ajib 25. Bowling for Bomb Squad A. Gobin picked up 4 wickets with A. Hussein taking 3.
Bomb Squad was then blown away for 81 in 15 overs with T. Tshember alone showing fight with 41.
The batsmen had no answers to the bowling of Singh with 6-30, while Rishi Persaud supported with 4-27.
The competition, which is in its fourth round, is being played for teams in the Upper Corentyne and Black Bush Areas.
