The Guyana female U19 team departed yesterday for neighbouring Trinidad and Tobago to defend their Regional Invitational female U19 T20 title.
The reigning champions, who defeated Trinidad and Tobago in the final last year, comprises of a number of players with previous experience at this level, and will be managed by Heema Singh and coached by CWI Level 3 Coach, Bharat Mangru.
Shabika Gajnabi will lead the team once again with the talented Mandy Mangru as her deputy.
The team reads; Shabika Gajnabi (Captain), Mandy Mangru (Vice-Captain), Shenita Grimmond, Kushana Lynch, Omedevi Matadin, Lafona Gilgeows, Yogeeta Ballkishun, Casey Charles, Cherryanna Fraiser, Ashley Ramkisoon, Chrita Mahabir, Roshine Budhu, Sarah Amin and Varshmie Ramlall.
The Guyana Cricket Board wishes the team all the best in the tournament.
