Following the successful hosting of Group D in last year’s Concacaf Women’s Under-17 World Cup qualifiers, the ‘Land of Many Waters’ will be tasked to host Group E of Concacaf senior Women’s Gold Cup, Caribbean qualifiers in May.
The official draw of the Caribbean qualifiers for the 9th edition of this competition was held yesterday in Miami, Florida and Guyana’s group will include Bermuda, Barbados and Suriname.
Currently the Guyana’s Lady Jags are without a head coach but training sessions with the locally based players began last week, facilitated by a team headed by Technical Director of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Ian Greenwood.
Dominica Republic, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago along with Antigua & Barbuda will host the other groups in the Caribbean qualifying tournament, simultaneously.
