Some things does always look good at de beginning but when it sink in then people does see wha really happen. That is wha happen to Trinidad. When that country find oil more than 100 years ago things look good. Money start to come in.
Gas come too but everybody was looking at de oil suh dem ignore de gas. Dem think it was a waste till a foreigner come in and mek de waste into money. Before that Trinidad use to bun off de gas. Dem call it flaring.
De gas begin to power machines but Trinidad didn’t pay too much attention till de gas bring in $20 billion couple years ago. By then it was too late because dem sign out everything to de foreign investor.
Guyana declare that it wouldn’t flare de gas and Exxon promise to bring it to shore. Guyana got to tek it from there. But dem mek de mistake of signing away de oil although dem believe dem was getting nuff money.
Dem boys seh if dem did tek dem time dem woulda get more. But dem can do wha Trinidad planning to do. Dem should revisit de contract. Of course de contract gun get a review in four years but people can’t wait till den.
De Trinidad Prime Minister nearly cry when he think about all dem who had to deal wid de oil people. Dem give away concessions and Guyana doing de same thing.
De man tell de Trinidadians yesterday that dem give so much concession that it wuk out to de point wheh Trinidad paying de investor fuh tek de gas.
One man tell dem boys that it look like if Guyana want pay Exxon to tek all de oil. Trinidad seh that de country want money and it could get de money from de IMF. But de Prime Minister want to know wha sense it mek to give away billions and got to borrow couple hundred.
Guyana got to tek note.
Talk half and learn from de mistake wha others mek.
